Baileyton RV Park
By Jack Kean Posted August 2011
Baileyton RV Park is located at Exit 36 on Interstate 81 in northeastern Tennessee. My experiences at the park are limited to a one-night stay, but my impression is that the park is well run. One indication of how well the park is operated is that the owners live right in the park. Our site was about 20 yards from the owner's home.
There are 30 level pull-through sites. Our rig is 33 feet long, and we were towing, but we fit into a space quite nicely. The sites and roads are gravel. In addition to the sites, they have two cabins for rent. The restrooms and showers are very nice and clean. The park is quiet with pastoral scenery and is most relaxing.
If you have the time, there are interesting sites near the park. These include: Davy Crockett Birthplace State Park; Margarette Falls; Dickson-Williams Mansion; Doak House Museum; and the President Andrew Johnson Museum and Library.
We paid $31.61 with a Good Sam discount. Baileyton RV Park provides cable television with a large selection of channels, as well as water, electricity and sewer at each site. We only needed 30 AMP, but some of the big rigs here likely needed 50, so I believe they have sites that provide 50 AMP service.
The lady I spoke with on the phone, who also checked us in, was most pleasant. Baileyton RV Park is a great place to spend the night or even a few days. If you are a golfer there is a driving range on site.
Baileyton RV Park is located at 7485 Horton Highway, Baileyton, TN 37745. You may contact them by phone at 423-234-4992 or 888-296-2267. They also have a website www.baileytonrvpark.com.
