Nashville Country RV Park

The Nashville Country RV Park offers "value and hospitality in a country setting" according to Park Owners Jim and Mary Zaborowski. Just north off Nashville off I-65 at Goodlettsville, Tenn., the park currently has 71 spaces available, and Jim said that they will have 14 more by Spring 2005, with upgraded facilities including new water, electric and sewer connections. When completed, there will be 48 pull-through sites, along with 4 cabins and some tent sites.

The park is well maintained, and there is lots of shade and grass.

Accommodations include a new swimming pool, laundry facility and playground. All sites include cable TV, phone hook-ups, and high-speed wireless Internet service, in addition to water, sewer and electric. Most sites have large wooden decks, and there are BBQ grills available at the pavilion and in the picnic area. The park is pet friendly, with a pet trail and walking path along a stream in the rear, and even a pet sitting service for visitors who want to spend time away from the park.

Along with the usual conveniences like a camp store, propane gas and dump station, the park schedules live music regularly and has convenient access to Nashville and all of its attractions. There is a shuttle service from the park to the Grand Ole Opry. Jim has also prepared driving tours for visitors with varied interests, including tours of: Civil War sites; 1860s sites, including President Andrew Jackson's "Hermitage" museum, Belle Meade Plantation and the Natchez Trace; and distilleries and wineries. Golf, horseback riding, boating, fishing and auto racing are also available.

The park is family owned and operated. "We pride ourselves on our hospitality," said Margie Gish, daughter of the owners.

"Most guests are returnees, or are referred by friends." Jim said they hope to exceed their visitors' expectations by offering services like discounts at many Nashville and local attractions and area restaurants. Jim will also arrange for your RV to be serviced by local mechanics while at the park.

The Nashville Country RV Park is located at 1200 Louisville Hwy., Goodlettsville, TN 37072. If you plan to be in the area and need more information, call (615) 859-0348 or write nashvillecountry@bellsouth.net.
