Travel Kit for Vampire Hunters
What every traveler in eastern Europe needs-a Vampire Killing Kit. Sold by
the Martin Auction Co. of Anna, Il., for $4,100, it included a pistol,
crucifixes, rosary beads, dagger, glass bottles (for holy water, garlic?),
wooden stakes, of course, and a wooden hammer to secure the placement of said
stakes. All in a sleek, wooden case with metal handles and a metal-inset-with-a
red-stone crucifix on the lid.
Sotheby's sold a vampire-killing set a few
years ago for $12,000.
